* gout since early 2007 * clueless, undertreated, and in pain until found gout-pal in dec 2009 * started on Uloric 40 mg Jan 2010; UA went from 9 to 4.5 in 2 weeks. * as of March 2010, still having frequent flare ups in toes; rheumatologist increased dose to 80mg. Wants to see UA levels get below 4. *As of Dec 2010, continued to have flare ups every 6 weeks till Aug 2010 and have been symptom free since then on 40 mg Uloric. I attribute it to enough time to clear out old crystals combined with in August I began taking .3 mg colchicine prophalactically until the last couple weeks. Finally doing great and grateful for gout-pal.com! August 2012- still doing great. Still taking uloric 40 mg day; ua is below 6 every time. no more colchicine. no gout symptoms.
