I AM 45 YEARS OLD AND WAS JUST RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH GOUT LEFT ANKLE. IT CAME ON AFTER OVERUSE AND I THOUGHT I HURT MY ANKLE. BLOOD TEST SHOWED 12.5 URIC ACID. Uric acid forms crystals. Crystals cause pain. Dissolving crystals removes pain.
