The GoutPal leaderboard is a list of members who are doing the most to control their gout.
Hundreds of research articles show that gout sufferers get better quicker when they are involved in their treatment. There is no better way to get involved with your treatment than by working with me and your doctor to create your own Personal Gout Management Plan(s).
These plans can be any or all of:
- Do I have Gout?
- Control Gout Pain
- Control Uric Acid
- Personal Gout Diet
Of course, you can create these plans yourself, or rely on your doctor to do it. All the information you need to create your own gout management plans is in my Gout Guidelines. However, you will recover from gout quicker if you work with me on this website.
My GoutPal Leaderboard shows how much effort you are putting into your gout management plan. You get points for many different activities that improve your gout plan. This includes daily points for visiting the gout forums, points for creating and replying to topics, and special points for outstanding contributions.
The best way to climb the leaderboard is to develop good habits.
Then, you should join in the discussions. Respond to other gout sufferers, especially if they have similarities with your gout. Whenever you are unsure about anything, just ask. The only wrong question is the one you didn’t ask. Posting every day might be too much for you, but 2 or 3 times a week is within everyone’s reach. If you are serious about controlling your gout, a few minutes a week is very little to ask.
To make this easy for you, I recommend that you subscribe to my forum update service. That let’s you see what other gout sufferers are discussing, and prompts you to join in. You can also subscribe to my gout blog update service, as this tells you about new aspects of gout that you can also discuss.
The leaderboard no longer applies to this website. So, please see my replacement personal gout support website.
