Does sex cure gout? If not, can I tell my lovely wife it does anyway? Any studies, credibly documented… or completely made up.. are welcome.

To me it's important that husband and wife be frank and honest to each other to maintain a loving and caring relationship in which everything happens NATURALLY – including SEX. Show love and concern to your lovely wife and I am sure she will reciprocate in a loving way.

Later, just went out and Googled Sex, now I remember, boy things have changed.
I also remember that in an attack the last thing I wanted to do was have my afflicted foot anywhere near where it could be touched or bumped and that I wasn't in the mood for creative thinking.
Full points for trying and a a bit of lateral thinking, wouldn't it be fantastic it it worked on two counts, very creative.
Give it a whirl, what have you got to loose. Oh yeah !!! sexual tension and Gout.

The good news is Yes! – sex is reportedly helpful in keeping Gout at bay- though I haven't found out why.
The bad news is that it's not yet on the NH !

Google will happily waste your time sending you to sites that repeat the myth about the study that says sex is good for gout. It won't help you find that study, or the G-Spot.
The science is that all body fluids contain some uric acid, so ejaculate as much as possible, get as sweaty as you can, and make sure you dribble plenty. Even a few tender tears might help, but be aware of the big drawback!
The uric acid concentration in all these fluids is lower than blood, so make sure you replace the lost water with appropriate fluids. Do a good job of it, and get her to reward you with a cup of tea afterwards.
Finally, to continue upsetting as many people as possible…

Sex [safe] is good for all though- Is it in any party manifesto?- they're gettin' desparate !
On thinking about this little gem – it struck me that losing a lot of Zinc in sperm could be a factor. Not only is it involved in Iron uptake [iron inhibition possibly a plus for gouties] but heavily involved in supporting the immune system [not so much reaction in a gout attack].
Depending on system balance [inc. Zinc status, actual diet/supplementation and absorption rates of Zinc there could well be mixed personal reactions- and at various times too. [May not usually be obvious what's on]- Just so typical of gout issues!
PS: Zinc (best with inc. copper) is better taken at night, for you morning guys

I have a problem with this. I haven't had sex in so long I renamed my water bed; Lake Placid Since I am now single do I drink the beer or pour it on my hands to get my date(s) drunk? I think a youngster, you know that far away time when you were in your teens and twenties should do a careful study of this fantastic phenomena! Because from 20-30 if things go right it is once in the morning and once at night. For you married types and now former; take a cold shower it's all in your mind
