Although Yorkshire is really all that matters, UK febuxostat shortage is a European-wide problem.

I was thinking about asking my doctor about trying this out. From what I've been told, the drug is pretty expensive in the US. I'm not sure how much it would be in Germany. I'll see if I can't find out and report back.

I’ve been taking Uloric (febuxostat) here in the USA for the past four months. My particilar insurance plan has me paying only $12.00 for a bottle of 30, 80mg pills and $9.00 for a bottle of 30, 40mg pills.

Without insurance in the United States Uloric is about $5 a pill for the low dose 40 mg. Few insurance companies cover the drug, and that's the few of the few who even COVER drugs at all.
Mr. Bell obviously has a very generous, and somewhat rare plan. May I guess, a public employee plan?

My insurance plan in United States covers Uloric at $ 10 for a 30 days supply( does not matter 40 or 80 mg) and $ 20 if 3 months supply is ordered by mail. I am not taking Uloric as I am on Allopurinol but I just checked the drugs section in my account login.

Mine in U.S. is $120 for 90 day supply 40 or 80. $480 / year is pricey, but my UA levels went from 9.1 to 4.4 in 2 weeks, so if I can walk again soon, well worth it.
