I'm looking for any research articles or personal experiences that show links between pH and gout.

In theory, raising alkalinity increases the point at which uric acid crystals form. However, human biochemistry is extremely complex, and mechanisms exist to hold blood serum pH to a very tight band.

So, does anyone have any solid research, or other references that I can rely on to confirm, or deny, links between pH and gout?
