… my ankle swell up so big and I could not walk on them my doctor said if
it is just swolling no pains it is from my pkd but he said gout will
hurt now I have one question I didn't ask him usually my ankles turn
all red and swell up but this weekend just swelling with pain does gout
always have the redness.
I'm not a doctor, so I cannot really answer this. Anyone else got any views or experience?
In my experience, gout is often accompanied by redness, with or without the pain. Probably due to the inflammatory action that occurs in a gout attack.
Treating gout effectively requires an understanding of how and why gout occurs. By increasing alkalinity, uric acid is less likely to crystallize and gout attacks are reduced
