Last week i had it in my left foot,now it's in my right foot.
Last week I was taking novo-methacin 50mg I have PKD and before taking the pills my kidney function was 52 one month later it is at 40. This causes me a great deal of concern.
Please help, i don't feel i'm getting the right information from my Doc
It is quite usual for gout to attack different joints - often more than one at the same time. Crystals tend to form where blood flow is restricted, e.g. through tight clothing, poor posture, low temperature etc.
Unless you get uric acid lowering treatment, the situation will grow worse. Every attack means more uric acid crystals are deposited in your joints. The sooner you get this fixed, the better.
The medication - Novo-Methacin, is a brand name for indomethacin, increasingly referred to as indometacin. Whilst this is commonly used for gout pain, it should only be taken for short periods. It will do nothing to lower uric acid.
You must see a rheumatologist as soon as you can for a proper assessment and treatment advice.
