I'm in the middle of a gout attack right now and it hurts.

When I'm in pain I want ice cream.

Is ice cream bad when you're having a gout attack?

Ken: This may not help but anytime I have a large icecream I am almost always going to get an attack. Dan

Dairy is considered OK with Gout!

Don't leave it on the joint too long 🙂

and use home made,  using low fat milk too! Watch waistline.

Ice cream is perfectly fine during a gout attack…just make sure it isn't salami or liver flavored.

If ice cream helps you concentrate on what really matters – your uric acid management plan – then eat it all day, every day.

Please note that this topic has moved to yogurt/ice cream with gout. Where you can continue to discuss ice cream and other aspects of dairy with gout. Also, remember to consult Gout Foods Table for Sweets (including Ice Cream).
