hello there, I’m having a gout attack. My last one was 4 years ago kept at bay by keeping hydrated and celery seed.

Then, I got dehydrated and ate too much fish. So got another mild in pain but arms hands and knee.

I started monitoring uric acid. With a start of 8.1. Now, will do weekly. So even when my attack is over, I can get my uric acid level down to 5-6.

Has anyone used Purixa as I am reluctant to start allopurinol, thanks paul

    Hi Paul,

Best to aim for 5 or lower. 6 is acceptable if medical reasons prevent you from going lower, but it gives little safety margin for daily fluctuations. If you have to settle for 6, be careful to keep limbs well wrapped and generally avoid exposure to cold.

On PURIXA, there’s an active discussion at https://gout-pal.com/gout-pal-forum/please-help-my-gout/started-purixa-today/
