Just booked a SUA test at my local hospital, which I will use as a control for my UA meter. I was just checking the list of tests on the form and saw Renal Profile and wondered whether this would be useful in ascertaining anything of value re: gout  e.g. low GFR indicating underexcretion of UA, crystals etc?

It would be very easy to tick the box before I hand the form over Wink suppose I'd need to provide a urine sample though?

    Yes,

I would think a renal profile would be very useful information.  Go for it!
