This is how to get your own Uric Acid Test meter.

You can order a gout monitoring kit from Arctic Medical, which comes with testing strips. You need one strip for each test. They are not reusable, but they are quite cheap. You should order at least one extra pack of strips at the same time. If you are as enthusiastic as me about testing your uric acid level, you will use them quite quickly, especially when you first get it.

The unit is very easy to use, and the kit includes everything you need to perform your own tests, except perhaps for a paper towel to wipe your finger after testing. The test is painless and very quick.

Be sure to wash and dry hands thoroughly before use.
