I was googling on the internet when I came across an interesting article on a substance called “gallium nitrate”. It is used to treat navicular disease in horses and hypercalcemia in humans. In humans they inject it but in horses they apply it by hand. The people who were applying the solution to the horses by hand found that it helped their arthritis. According to the stories, the solution helped for periods of years. I did a little searching on gallium and found that it is not a substance you find easily but has to be mined and smelted. That probably explains why most people have never seen it or heard of it. The articles are at http://www.george-eby-research.com.
