Good to see the sun shining in the UK after some dank and soggy weeks.

Hopefully now summer is promising [in the N Hemisphere] more, remember to get plenty of daily sunshine to up your Vitimain D levels for max health-with or without ol' G to depress us more !

My SAD usually begins lifting December 15-21…and is gone by January 1. (Novemeber is my frighteningly awful month.)

But this year I got a double lift this last week after a particularly gruelling spell of Winter (Northeast U.S.) I've had two bouts where I've been euphoric to the point of clicking my heels. But being a pessimist by nature, when I feel momentary euphoria like that I am always still a bit “waiting for the other shoe to drop.” One LEARNS how the world really works after 66 years.Surprised

Usually when a pessimist feels euphoric its the aura prior to an impending migraine!  Sorry Zip – couldn't resist!Laugh

Oh gosh yes…

I am in mortal fear of my typical April migraine complete with a Van Gogh-worthy preceding aura. Just beautiful.  (I wish I could get a snapshot!)

Who said we humans weren't as seasonal as the lower animals.Cool

Migraine?

That's interesting- I suffered for about 20 years, till about 20 years ago and they restarted [mild, tho] last year when I started on Clonidine [BP med- low dose, even]

It may have been co-incidence though…

Maybe a new thread -if March Hare doesn't like it ? Cool

Inderal has been my liffe saver. I enjoy the aura for about 5 minutes until it gets too pronounced than I run for the medicine chest, 40 mg. propranolol, and a dark quiet bed for about half an hour.

The pundits say that inderal (propranolol) must be taken daily for profyllaxis but the [pundits are quite wrong.

My method has kept the migraines at bay for several years now…dammit, I shouldn't have even THOUGHT that, much less typed it!
