My latest gut attack was brought on by beer.

I don't drink often and when I do it's usually tequilla but I was in a "beer mood".

I was drinking Samuel Adams Octoberfest, but they all seem to mess me up.

I wonder if there's a specific beer ingredient that causes the problem? Hops, barley, malt, etc.

Well I do know from personal experience that if I have domesic Canadian beer say 1 or 2 bottles my toes stat to go nuts(that 'ole gout feeling settlin' in) and I can feel it.

About an hour after drinking.

If I have a Heiniken beer or other expensive/premium brand then I am okay.

So I am putting it down to some kind of chemicals in one brand as opposed to the other.

I have tried this numerous times and found the same issue.

Not very scientific but indeed strange.

For the most part I just tend to avoid beer.

its just “safer” for me.
