Hi all, 39 years old, male,

Iv'e been getting these flare ups for about four years now, never been to doctors about it yet, does this seem like gout?

Yes it could be Gout although looks can be deceiving so get your blood SUA readings when the attack is gone. Readings during an attack are lower generally so not very accurate.

Oh! and put some cream on your foot for the dryness

Any help would be great

Go to the Dr, get some anti-inflammatories (may help a bit). When the flare is over, get blood tests done and discuss starting urate lowering therapy as soon as possible. Read everything on here and let us know how you get on. Good luck.

Probably better to wait until the swelling has subsided

It definitely LOOKS like gout, Now you must confirm it with a high uric acid reading (or three.)

See if you can get some colchicine from your doctor…if it works well that is MORE evidence of gout.

(Have a foot X-ray just to make sure you haven't broken a bone.)
